May 29 - The End Of Semester

It began sitting in a pink deck chair under a yellow umbrella and sipping a beer on a man made island on the river in the middle of town. This was the perfect launching pad from which the night of final farewells began, as the tiny fragments from all over the world that for the last 5 months have been welding tightly so together, start to re disperse back to the corners of the world from which they came. And for those who were not as fortunate as me, staying in Sweden for June, the realisation of it all coming to a close is one that can never be understood without being experienced. Before getting to the farewell party however, a bike ride along the river was in order, which was made that extra bit more interesting when this happened:

The new craze is 'seat-less' for all you hard core bikers out there

Then it began the final night we would be united in reality (because there's always facebook unity) and its fair to say we made the most of it.

And as the goodbyes continued into the night we were once again welcomed by the 3am sunrise that blazed proudly from the other side of the dewy field, as if mocking the pathetic attempt of night that preceded it. Summer has come to Sweden.

The day had begun, it was time to head to bed.
